Every employer has their reason for making their final selection decision, and as a job seeker, you can’t be afraid to begin the process, you just have to make sure you’re prepared.
If you are submitting your resume, but not getting invited to an interview, then evaluate how you are marketing yourself on your resume. Failure to market yourself well will get you an automated e-mail rejection notice, informing you that the employer decided to go with a more qualified candidate. The weekly stats highlighting the thousands of well-paying open jobs out there while you are still unemployed or working in a job you hate doesn’t boost your confidence.
On the other hand, if you are landing interviews because you advertised yourself as a well-qualified candidate, but you are not securing an offer of employment, then be honest with yourself and thoroughly assess your interview skills and techniques.
I help jobseekers every day, across various industries, evaluate their resume and prepare for interviews. My career coaching gives my clients confidence and the outcome to secure employment for the income they deserve.
